Central Barcelona is not just about food! There are amazing microbreweries too – and with The Barcelona Taste you get to taste them. These are not the standard breweries you would find on other tours.
Our stops are hidden gems of restaurants and brewpubs that make their own beer as well as some truly exceptional tapas and desserts.
At The Barcelona Taste we love food, like…REALLY love food. But we are pretty into beer as well. That’s why we’ve launched our Beer & Tapas Tour. Not a traditional tapas tour, not a typical beer tour, we've combined the best of both worlds to share with you!
Did you know that the oldest European beer producing remains were found just outside Barcelona? True story! And in the 6,300 years since then Barcelona has continued to excel at brewing. From well known international brands such as Moritz and Estrella, to our diverse and growing market of independent beer brewers, Barcelona has a lot to offer beer aficionados.
On this 3 hour tour we’ll visit 3 different establishments, each within an easy 10-15 minute max. stroll. These are not the standard breweries you would find on other tours. Our stops are hidden gems of restaurants and brewpubs that make their own beer as well as some truly exceptional tapas and desserts.
A range of beers will be available to choose from (you'll taste a minimum 6 different beers on the tour), from hoppy IPAs, pale ales and fruited kettle sours, to Belgian-style beers with innovative twists featuring unique ingredients such as bay leaves, orange blossom, honey or cinnamon...and more! We will enjoy a full tapas meal at our second stop, and see how they brew their beers. To end the evening, you’ll taste an exceptional dark beer paired beautifully with a beer-infused dessert at our final destination. The tour ends at 9.30pm in a central location, which means you will still have time to explore further (we have plenty of recommendations to offer) or to hunker down at the final stop to continue tasting.
If you are a beer lover but also want to taste some of Barcelona’s best food, this is definitely the tour for you!
Encompassing three central neighbourhoods, our Central Barcelona tours highlight some of the oldest and most diverse parts of the city. Historically, and to this day, these areas are famed for their nightlife. They have become home to many of the city’s best food and drink destinations, with many global cuisines on offer.
You will see layers upon layers of Barcelona’s history here, from medieval to modern, and all within a few minutes stroll from the city’s central pedestrian spine - La Rambla - but with far fewer throngs of tourists.
This is the real Barcelona, where citizens live, work, and enjoy.
